Author Notes: Chapter 2: There's currently no description/indication of what the Phosphorous Carousel in the Great Magellan Gestalt is... so I've taken the meaning of the words and decided what it is **grins**
Chapter 4: So as not to be seen a plagiarizing myself: This is based on (and some lifted from) a scene that was originally written for Heart of the TARDIS story. It was told more from Jack's POV in that story, here it's more from the Doctor's. Also, I'm taking some creative liberties, since we don't know how/when things happen in the Doctor's personal time-line... But since it's already a "Fixed Point" in my other story, there's a little "fix-it" going on here.
Summary: When the Doctor finally returned to the Ood Sphere after the end of "Waters of Mars" he listed off a series of things he had to do. This is the story of his journey from Mars through his regeneration.
