Status: WIP. Will be the first long book of a long trilogy.
Word Count: 38k.
Summary: Loki's attempt to murder Laufey has failed; Odin has awoken from the Allsleep; Thor despises his brother not-in-blood. Loki, with all this facing him, decides it is time to leave Asgard once and for all. Returning to Midgard, a realm he knew as he was yet a young man, he works to build something entirely new for himself.
This fic is written with an episodic style - after the initial set-up for the plot, there will be an 8-episode run of individual Loki & Doctor adventures, fashioned in the style of Doctor Who episodes or novels. Loki and the Tenth Doctor will form a complex relationship, as will Loki and Tony Stark. This is a pretty huge AU, with influences from the MCU, the 616 and the Norse mythology behind Loki.
A/N: Although Loki & the Doctor will form a friendship, there is no Rose-bashing herein. She's just not a central character in this plotline yet, but will come back into the plot after the first 8 "episodes" of Loki & the Doctor's adventures.
The first "book" of this trilogy is Loki during the Tenth Doctor's lifetime - the latter two books will be set across that of the Eleventh and Twelfth.
