This was floating around my notebook for a while undecided if it would become a poem or prose - I'd had to leave my eldest at college and let her go grow up at the time, so the bittersweet was something I related to. I love One, he could be so silly and other times so very serious and quietly sad, truly setting the pattern for the rest to follow.
